| My long-awaited holiday begins!! But, like I said, it comes with a price - I worked through National Day (you'd think you'd actually get a break after waiting for a public holiday for months...) and slaved till 4 a.m. today (yes, I cancelled my Mid-Autumn Festival...). But, I think, it'll be worth it - sunshine + beach + spa + interesting food + 5 days exploring a "new" place with N  |

| I couldn't react. Too numbed. Too busy. And, too consumed by the rhetoric: When something you don't want is forcibly taken away from you and replaced by something else you don't want - can you honestly say that you have, in fact, suffered loss? |

| ... when I go into my usual shoe shop* and I don't even want to try on a single shoe. Was it the new arrivals, or was it me? *one of my happy places downstairs of my office - their "mould" for high heels fits me really comfortably and I normally buy in bulk (late at night too) so some of the girls there recogize me. |

| Went to Tuen Mun today (not for fun). The upside is - today marks the first time since I was called that I am able to be home 6-ish, having already been to the market to buy fresh food to cook for dinner!! |
